Jennifer's wedding invitation & monogram

I am so excited (and a little envious) about Jennifer's color scheme! I love the color combination of pinks and browns.

For the invitations and monograms I used two shades of pink; a lighter, softer more sophisticated shade paired with a bright, fun, hot pink and for contrast the always classic, dark chocolate brown.  When they are all put together the look is simply modern, a little whimsical and a lot of fun!

I am having them professionally printed. {Business cards are not fun  to cut out!} I ordered them from Mpix.com.

Here's a preview of what they will look like. . . I'm so excited to get them in and see what the printed version looks like!

Kayla's wedding invitation & monogram

Kayla's colors are very spring like! A pretty mossy green paired with classic ivory. Fresh & simple and very classy! Her invitations are enclosed in an textured ivory gate folder. The mounting card is moss green and the invitation is printed on the textured ivory and the outside is  finished off with square monogrammed seal on the outside of the gate folder.

Andrea's wedding invitation & monograms

Andrea's invitation colors are so elegant. The square pocket folder is a metallic chocolate brown and the mounting cards, along with the exterior envelopes are a metallic copper. So eye catching! When people receive these  in the mail they will immediately know it's an invitation to something special!

Custom Recipe Cards

Here's an idea I've been toying with lately.  I think they'd make great gifts, what do you think? This example is 4"x6", I also did a 3"x5" but that is really small! Click on the picture to see it larger.

My Aunt Judy has not received these. . . yet. But, I had to use somebody's name when I was playing with the design! I suspect that when she see's these, she will be making a request for some!

Catching up

I have been busy working on wedding invitation ensembles for three weddings in June! The supplies for all of them have now been ordered and we are on our way to getting to the good part! The designing and assembly.  Yay!

While talking with the brides-to-me I encountered a common problem that they are all having. . . the invitation wording. I thought I'd share a useful web site that I found a few years ago that has all kinds of invitation wording.  I hope you find it interesting and helpful!

I am on the verge of buying myself a new printer. The one I have decided on is a Cannon Pixma Mp970.  I have done a lot of research and read hundreds of customer reviews. I think it's going to be my best bet for the money I want to spend. It claims to print digital prints in the same quality as a professional photo lab. It also has tons of really neat features that I think would be beneficial for business! So, I have high hopes for this printer, I just hope it doesn't disappoint me! If you have any feedback on it, please share!

I just added this blog to Live Writer. I don't know what took me so long!? I have been using Live writer for my personal blog, and really love the ease of use and the ability to add photos really fast, no waiting for the picture to load! It's free and easy to download, so give it a whirl!

Hopefully this will lend to more posting! I plan on posting some recent projects this week, so check back often!
